Information we collect

When you contact the garden or apply for membership, we may collect your name, preferred name, address, email address, phone number, emergency contact, gardening interests and any accessibility, health or participation information you choose to provide.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to enquiries, organise visits, assess and manage membership, communicate about garden activities and respond in an emergency. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and external services

The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Essential sign-in cookies may be used in protected editor and committee areas. Embedded videos or external links may connect to services such as YouTube, Vimeo, GitHub or Cloudflare, which have their own privacy and cookie practices.

Storage and access

Online membership applications are stored in a private Cloudflare database, separate from the public website and its code. Access is limited to authorised committee members. Information is kept only for as long as it is reasonably needed for membership administration, record keeping and legal obligations.

Photographs

Membership applicants can choose whether identifiable photographs may be used on the website, social media, newsletters and grant reports. This choice can be changed by contacting the garden.

Your choices

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw optional photograph consent, or ask about deletion where the garden is not required to retain a record.

Contact

If you have a question about your personal information, contact the garden using the email address shown on this website.
